In the small town, Eden, the life of a middle-aged food and advice columnist is rocked when one of her correspondents is murdered.
Episode 2
Maria and Jessie, and Khaya, the local detective, are all trying to solve Martine's murder. Prime suspects are Martine's husband and best friend. Without enough evidence, the police let them go.
Episode 3
While investigating the scene of Martine's murder, Jessie and Maria hear another murder taking place. Meanwhile, Anna and Dirk are still trying to kill each other, even from their hospital beds.
Episode 4
Martine's cousin Candy arrives in town to plan the funeral and quickly gets in the way of Jessie and Regardt's budding romance. Maria focuses on a letter writer in search of her father.
Episode 5
Maria and Candy confront Martine's ex, but he insists he's innocent. A local property developer puts pressure on Dirk to sell his land to him. Regardt and Jessie reconcile.
Episode 6
Dirk and Anna escape from prison and attack John, believing him to be the killer. While Candy begins a flirtation with Khaya, Maria tries to help a letter writer with a very unusual doughnut problem.
Episode 7
A last-minute will by Martine's dad turns out to be a false lead. While Maria tries to help some sparring siblings, she receives a death threat, and is placed under police protection.
Episode 8
Maria helps a letter writer struggling with her faith and finally figures out who's been following her. Khaya and Maria bond over dinner, but their night's cut short when they learn Jessie is missing.
Episode 9
Maria tries to retrace Jessie's steps while the police try to track down her cousin. When the killer catches Maria, he has an unusual request.
Episode 10
As the police close in, Maria tries to escape the killer, and a desperate search ensues for Jessie.
