Revelations - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Hour One
Apocalypse now? In Part 1 of this six-part theological thriller, signs that "the end of days" is at hand begin to appear, including a shadow of a crucifix on a Mexican mountain; an infant who (miraculously, it seems) survives a shipwreck; and strange utterances in Latin from a brain-dead girl. They attract religious scholar Sister Josepha and reluctant astrophysicist Richard Massey, who is licking his wounds: His daughter was murdered by Satanists.

Hour Two
In Part 2, Sister Jo, with a skeptical Massey in tow, spirits Olivia out of the hospital and takes her to Sister Jo's convent, where Massey learns about the mission. Biblical prophecies about "the end of days" are playing out, she says. But, she adds: "I believe the Bible left a `blank,' to be filled in by man." He signs on and they head to the Greek island Patmos, in search of a "miracle baby" who was the only survivor of a shipwreck.

Hour Three
Part 3. In Italy, Massey and Sister Jo find the mother of the "miracle child." Meanwhile, Haden's forces kidnap Hawk.

Hour Four
Part 4. Odd events continue to snowball, from a star---"on steroids, growing bigger and brighter every day," as Lampley puts it---to a "rash of miraculous pregnancies." Meanwhile, Haden makes an electrifying court appearance; and Massey finds out why Haden kidnapped Lucy and Hawk.

Hour Five
In Part 5, Massey and Sister Jo's search for the "miracle child" takes them to the forbidding Prague crypt of an exorcist whose life work was a book titled "The Birth of the Antichrist." Meanwhile, Haden's forces storm the convent, where Olivia's drawing again; at the prison, Haden's acting up again; and in Rome, a woman identifying herself as a State Welfare representative offers to help Anna-Theresa find her child.

Hour Six
As the miniseries concludes, Haden is on the loose and prophecies in the Book of Revelation are coming to pass, sending Massey and Sister Jo to the town of Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee, where a momentous birth is about to take place.
