«Roeng» is a comedy about a Norwegian municipality that is hit by a reverse financial scandal, and suddenly gets NOK 4 billion on book. When the State claims the prize, the municipality gets busy with spending the money. Mayor Tom Eide is aiming for the stars!

Episode 1
Roeng municipality is struggling with vacancy and low employment. When Mayor Tom Eide discovers irregularities with the municipality's cellulose fund, he believes all hope is out for his hometown. But the financial scandal that has hit Roeng turns out to have unexpected signs.
Episode 2
The newfound billions create headaches for the mayor, the councilor and the finance manager at Roeng: How should they get the money into the municipality's account legally?
Episode 3
The bills from the currency speculation create joy among the people of Rugen, but also more work for the staff at the town hall. Further rubs occur when Mayor Tom Eide falls for the temptation to try to cover private expenses from the municipality's account.
Episode 4
Roeng has become Norway's richest municipality, but the private economy of Mayor Tom Eide is a disaster. Tom needs a financial miracle and turns to Benjamin's foreman's son for help. But Benjamin has his own problems to contend with.
Episode 5
The loan sharks have not received the money Mayor Tom Eide owes them and meets up at Roeng City Hall. That Finance Manager Lena gets an unexpected question during a skype conference, gives Tom even more to contend with. The help comes from unexpected hold.
Episode 6
The County Governor will investigate the legality of Roeng's financial operations, and the entire municipal administration must explain. Mayor Tom Eide believes he is in control of the situation, until it turns out that the retired referee Reidun sits on sensitive information about the municipal billions.
Episode 7
The local government suspects that Roeng has broken its own financial regulations, and the councilor Gunn has to enter the carpet in Oslo. Mayor Tom Eide is willing to do anything to save the municipality's billions, but is distracted by a newly moved yoga instructor in the next door.
Episode 8
The state makes demands on the billions, but mayor Tom Eide would rather Roeng municipality use up the money. He has an idea of how and seeking expert help from abroad. But the municipal council sticks the wheels of the innovative mayor.
Episode 9
The Ministry of Local Government is willing to do anything to stop Mayor Tom Eide's plans for a local political spot marking in space. Both Tom's ex-wife and Veidirektoratet are being sworn to prevent Tom from traveling to Siberia.
Episode 10
The entire municipality follows, while Mayor Tom Eide and cosmonaut Sergei Kalifman are ready to go into space. When the autopilot breaks down, it looks dark. Can the residents of Roeng save their mayor?

It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia.
