SCI Expedition Safari (2014- )
Host, Mike Rogers, takes viewers around the globe on this year's exciting 11th season of SCI Expedition Safari. Mike shares his adventures with good friends in Florida for the American Gator and then travels all the way around the world to hunt the much larger cousin in Namibia, the Nile Crocodile. See the differences in hunting methods and species on these exciting hunts. In South Africa, Mike joins fellow conservationists on an important mission to save a baby Rhino who was injured during a failed poaching attempt. Watch as Mike works with local veterinarians, outfitters, and anti-poaching units, as they dart baby and mama Rhino to care for them.
Last season, Mike endured his most challenging hunt ever with a trip to the rugged mountains in the Yukon in search of the Dall Sheep. This season, Mike returns for a second attempt and succeeds on one of his toughest hunts yet. Expedition Safari takes you south of the border to enjoy the warm blue waters of the Sea of Cortez in Baja Mexico. With a spear gun, Mike hunts some of the most diverse fishing waters available on the planet. On this episode, he and his guide take the catch directly into the kitchen and show you some of the easiest ways to prepare fresh sashimi.
Alaska Yukon Moose is the target for this trip up North. This beautiful wilderness offers amazing sights and challenging conditions. Mike then travels to Alaska in pursuit of exciting game, with good friend and SCI award-winning outfitter Sam Fejes. Outfitter Matt Cates, of Triple M Outfitting Unlimited and his son, join Mike on a blackbuck, antelope and axis deer hunt in Florida. Watch as the rich habitat in South Central Florida combine with a sound science-based conservation model to produce extraordinary antelope and deer. Stephen Colbert took over as host, executive producer, and writer of The Late Show on Sept. 8, 2015.
Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and lest known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Before joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed The Colbert Report, which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one-third of the time. Good luck, Bill!
