Myles no longer appreciates his living situation and yearns to move out. When Keyonna feels as though she's being taken for granted by being forced to work on her day off, Shaunie finds herself not only teaching a lesson, but learning one as well.

When Shaqir plans his 13th birthday party, Myles and Keyonna take this as a green light to go crazy. Mimi wants to makeover her sister, Me'Arah, into a mini version of herself. Shaunie realizes if she wants something done right, she must do it herself.

When Myles gets ready to move to New York for a summer internship, Shaunie struggles with letting go of her first born. When Dear enlists them to make the goodbye dessert it turns into a family bakeoff, which is simply a recipe for disaster.

Many of these items have incredible stories behind them and a unique place in history: from an accordion played in the Blitz by a woman who is now in her 90s, to a beautifully crafted clock made by a father who was completely blind; a Pinball machine that is currently being used as a kitchen counter, and a Davenport desk with its trademark fake drawers which fooled burglars - and their crowbar.
The Repair Shop is an antidote to our throwaway culture and shines a light on the wonderful treasures to be found in homes across the country.
