Shipwrecked - Season 9

The ultimate popularity contest in paradise kicks off as eight strangers wash up on the tropical shores of Tiger Island, deep in the heart of the South Pacific. The newly assembled group are soon joined by a ninth islander, who swaggers into camp carrying a crate of booze just in time for their first island party. However, unbeknown to the others, he's also on a secret mission to divide the camp. Soon one tribe becomes two and the battle between the Tigers and Sharks to build the biggest tribe begins.

The freshly formed Tigers and Sharks wake up on their rival islands with both tribes embracing their new identities. Thoughts soon turn to how they can make their islands most appealing to new arrivals. While the Sharks opt to try and win them over with 'culinary delights', the Tiger girls decide to take a more risque approach. It's not long before the first new arrivals land ashore. Both tribes have just 24 hours to convince the newbies that theirs is the tribe to join. The rival tribes are then reunited for the first time at the beach party, and once again there is a huge twist when the new arrivals announce their decisions.

It's the morning after the first beach party, and the Sharks are worried that one of their tribe might be falling for a rival after his blatant attempts to convince her to move to Tiger Island. Meanwhile, over on Tiger Island, they are first to host the new arrivals, and as the boat pulls in one lad in particular is relieved to see that the newbies are both girls.

The Tigers have a mole in their midst, with no one suspecting a thing. Kalia is still feeling unsure about whether Harry's feelings for her are genuine or whether it's all about tactics. The rest of her tribe are starting to get a bit bored of her indecision, but there's no time to brood as they have two new arrivals to impress. And the beach party is full of drama, as after the new arrivals announce their decision, the other islanders are given the chance to swap islands.

The Tigers are still angry and reeling from the shock of last night's beach party. They decide this is now war. As the flags go up on both islands, neither team is delighted to learn they are about to go head-to-head in their first ever tribal challenge. After the challenge, the Tigers psych themselves up to receive the new arrivals, who turn out to be twin sisters. Later, there's no love lost at the beach party and another shocking twist rocks the tribes, reminding them that on Shipwrecked anything can and does happen.

After the shock events of the beach party, the battle lines are temporarily dropped between the Tigers and Sharks as we enter the third week in paradise. But there's little time to reflect as it's the start of Tribal Challenge Week and there's a big twist in store. Both islands are in a state of uncertainty as there are no new arrivals. Tribal Challenge Week kicks off with a swim-based trial with the results to be revealed at the beach party. And there's a big surprise for the winning team: five new arrivals in one go! But just how will the five newbies feature in the gameplay of the final week of the Shipwrecked competition?

It's Tribal Challenge Week in the Shipwrecked competition, and in a massive shipwrecked shocker there are five new arrivals for the Tigers and Sharks to woo. In preparation for the new arrivals on Shark Island, the tribe have made a series of special seats for each of them, which they use for a round of getting-to-know-you 'speed dating'. The next day the flag goes up and both islands must compete in a dynamo challenge, where each team must pedal for a set amount of time to see who can generate the most energy. The winning tribe will win a crucial third night with the new arrivals, who will choose a tribe, and be the deciding factor in who wins the overall competition.

Tribal Challenge Week continues as the new arrivals are spending a third night with one of the tribes. But it's not long till they spot a raised tribal flag, and a huge bombshell is dropped for both the Tigers and the Sharks as they near the end of the Shipwrecked competition. Everyone is thrown into a spin, particularly the new arrivals, who face an impossible decision. There's an emotional night in store for both tribes as they approach the beach party, where there's an opportunity to win another night with the new arrivals. But what decision has to be made first, and what will it mean for the Tigers and Sharks?

The end of the Shipwrecked competition is on the horizon and there's still everything to play for. Recovering from the events of the beach party, both tribes must rally and work hard to make their island the most desirable. There's life drawing, backflips, trust games, spas, snogs and lube! But as the beach party approaches, will all the Shipwreckers stay loyal to their tribe? The final challenge is set: coconut roulette. There are more difficult decisions in store for some of the Shipwreckers before they head into the final leg of the competition.

After weeks of battling to become the biggest tribe, the Tigers and Sharks are about to face a final emotional beach party, and find out who will be the winner of Shipwrecked 2019. They've used every tactic to try and win the competition and faced all the twists and turns along the way. Now as they approach the final beach party, there's just a small amount of time to reflect on their incredible journeys, before it's decision time for some of the Shipwreckers, who hold the fate of the Tigers and Sharks in their hands. Which tribe will win and sail away with £50,000? Will the romances and friendships be able to survive the final hurdle of the competition? Once the decisions are made and the results revealed, there's one final Shipwrecked twist before the Tigers and Sharks must say an emotional farewell to paradise, and each other.
