Two years after the world as we know it has ended, Shizuru leads an uneventful life in her hometown of Agano. But one day, she finds a clue that will lead her on a journey into the unknown to find her missing friend.

Shizuru and the others depart on their journey to Ikebukuro, but find that they are woefully lacking in supplies. As they ride along the Koma River, they spot a mysterious, long-necked shadow.
Short, Happy, and Easy
The gang finds themselves welcomed by the friendly townsfolk of Higashi-Agano. Akira, however, can't shake the feeling that all is not as it seems with their generous hosts.
Why Are You Hiding Your Butt?
As the train continues on its journey to Ikebukuro, each new stop begins to take weirder, wilder turns. Meanwhile, Akira appears to be hiding something from the others.
I'll Be Reduced to Bones
Shizuru and Reimi find themselves prisoners near Inariyama Park. They must escape their tiny captors, and find a doctor to cure Akira's affliction before it's too late.
Was What I Said That Awful?
Pochi-san appears to be feeling sick, much to Akira's dismay. In the ensuing argument, Nadeshiko confronts Shizuru to find out the truth about why Yoka has gone missing.
A Zombie That Laughs Is No Zombie at All
Shizuru is taken captive, and Nadeko and the others must infiltrate a horde of zombies to rescue her. However, they'll first need to hoodwink the queen of the zombies.
Isn't That Bad Karma?
Reimi is excited to head into Oizumi-gakuen, which has transformed into her favorite anime. However, they're met with a much bleaker retelling where the bad guys reign supreme.
More Boring Than I Thought
Yoka wakes up to find herself in Ikebukuro, now transformed beyond recognition. Elsewhere, Shizuru and the others, still on their journey, run into a familiar face.
A True Symbol of Rebellion and Decadence
Shizuru spots a mysterious silhouette on the train tracks near Higashi-Nagasaki, belonging to a mysterious creature who happens to remind her of someone.
Maybe She's a Lost Cause...
The train finally reaches its last stop, Ikebukuro. Now it's up to Shizuru and the others to find Yoka and put an end to the 7G menace.
What Was Normal Again?
Poison Pontaro sets off on an armored train with Yoka in tow. The fate of the world now rides on Shizuru and the gang, in hot pursuit aboard the Apogee.
