Pilot
When street rat Sinbad accidentally kills Lord Akbari's son, Akbari kills Sinbad's brother in revenge. Sinbad escapes, but his grandmother Safia places a curse on him that until he atones for his sins he can't stay on dry land for more than 24 hours. Sinbad stows away on the Providence, but magical sea creatures attack and all on board die except for Sinbad; Anwar, the ship's doctor; Gunnar, a Norse trader; Nala, a noblewoman on the run; Rina, a thief and the ship's Cook.
Queen of the Water-Thieves
The crew is captured by Water-Thieves, a feral tribe. Sinbad tries to seduce their fierce leader Razia to save himself, but despite satisfying her, he learns she will kill him that night. Sinbad escapes with the help of Razia's chained Roc, a giant mythical bird, and creates a diversion allowing his friends to escape. Sinbad returns to Razia's chamber and frees the Roc, but Razia attacks him. As his curse kicks in and is about to destroy him, the Roc swoops in and rescues Sinbad.
House of Games
When Anwar loses The Providence in a bet to merchant Abdul-Fahim, Sinbad confides about the curse- he will die unless they get the ship back. The gang follows Abdul-Fahim to a gaming-house and Sinbad wins back the ship. But the twisted gaming-house owners, twins Faris and Essam, challenge Sinbad to free his friends from a series of enchanted rooms before his curse kills him. He succeeds, but his friends have to drag him back to the Providence. When he recovers he comes clean about his curse.
Old Man of the Sea
Running low on water with Cook severely dehydrated, the crew finds a strange old man on a deserted ship. They are unaware it is Death come to reclaim his bride, Nala, who ran away from their ritual wedding. Nala agrees to wed Death, believing it will bring back her dead father. Realizing who the old man is, Sinbad rushes to save Nala, but in vain. It is only when Death accidentally reveals he has no knowledge of Nala's grief that the spell breaks and Nala escapes. The rain comes, reviving Cook.
Hunted
Gunnar and Sinbad are ambushed by the Khaima, a band of warriors, who avenge injustice. Their leader, Obsidian, sentences Gunnar to death for his brutal Viking past. Taryn creates a magical Stalker, which hunts down Sinbad at the Khaima camp just as Obsidian is about to kill Sinbad and Gunnar. The Khaima slash at the Stalker, but it repairs itself. As Gunnar urges, Sinbad defeats the Stalker by mastering his anger. Obsidian pardons Gunnar and invites him to join the Khaima, but Gunnar declines.
The Siren
Attacked by a sea creature, Sinbad wakes, rescued by mysterious Roisin. Sinbad falls for her, unaware she is stealing his memories and the people in them from him. Rina find Roisin as she is about to kill Sinbad and offers her memories for his life. Rina's bad memory of how her mother sold her into slavery destroys Roisin, returning Sinbad's memories. Sinbad has a vision of his grandmother calling for help and sets off back to Basra to rescue her, unaware it is a trap set by Taryn and Akbari.
Homecoming
Sinbad returns to Basra to rescue his grandmother, but it is a trap set by Akbari and Taryn. Akbari duels Sinbad, who gets the upper hand. Sinbad spares Akbari and apologizes for the death of Akbari's son, breaking the curse. To Sinbad's shock Taryn kills Akbari, telling Sinbad she can lead him to his brother in the Land of the Dead. Safia disrupts Taryn's magic, causing Taryn to collapse. Before she dies Safia hints that Sinbad is special. Nala stays to rebuild Basra as the others sail on.
Kuji
The crew meets Kuji, a teen who says she's a God. Anwar falls for her, confiding that he doesn't belong as he's not brave like the others. An army demands her back, but Anwar refuses. The gang is killed except for him and Kuji. He refuses to abandon Kuji. She makes the troops vanish, saying she was sent to convince him he is as brave as the others; he would have left Sinbad today, but Sinbad needs him for a journey ahead. She revives the gang, kisses Anwar then disappears.
Eye of the Tiger
Sinbad and friends try to gain access to a labyrinth containing a stone that reveals your future. However, they are caught and Sinbad is sentenced to death. He is rescued by attractive female bounty hunter Tiger – who has been sent by Taryn to capture Sinbad. When Sinbad saves Tiger's life Tiger decides she won't deliver Sinbad to Taryn. Instead, she accepts Sinbad's invite to join the crew.
For Whom the Egg Shatters
The crew are hired to transport a Professor and her mysterious, giant egg, which hatches a snake-demon. Narrowly escaping its attack, the gang decide to kill it, but the Professor merges with it to create an intelligent monster. The gang are trapped on the ship out at sea and are forced to be ingenious to defeat the Snake-Demon. They then set sail to see Tiger's monk friend who may know the way to the Land of the Dead.
Fiend or Friend?
The gang visits a monastery in the hope that Tiger's friend, Brother Angelico, will be able to help them find a route to the Land of the Dead. While there, Gunnar is falsely accused of being a murderous Fiend and is sentenced to death. Sinbad rescues his friend just in time and has to face down the real Fiend. Tiger finds the map to the Land of the Dead, only to be possessed by Taryn, who thus sneaks onto the Providence.
Land of the Dead
A Land of the Dead Guardian confronts Sinbad with the truth his mother died when pregnant with him. Bereft he is dead Sinbad is about to sacrifice himself to save his friends when Jamil saves him. Sinbad rescues Taryn's daughter Alehna, who tells him his father rescued his mother and him from this place. He is a child of the land of the dead and of the living. Jamil sacrifices himself to save Sinbad from a Giant Guardian. The crew sail on unaware an evil presence has stown away in Alehna's body.
