The inhabitants of the small North Sea island of Sløborn have no inkling of something bad when an American sailing yacht capsizes on its shores. On board a dead couple who apparently committed suicide.

Schoolgirl Evelin realizes that she is pregnant by her teacher Milan. Classmate Herm has made an observation.

Evelin's father found that the dead on the yacht died of the dangerous pigeon flu. Policeman Mikkel continues to investigate.

The pigeon flu continues to spread and Sløborn has to be sealed off. The island is to be gradually evacuated. This news is causing concern on the Ostergaard farm.

The Bundeswehr has now arrived on the island to support the evacuation measures. Antibodies against the virus were found in Evelin's blood.

The situation is getting out of control. Evelin's cell phone video from the clinic causes insecurity among the islanders. Resistance Erik rages.

This popular news magazine provides both hard hitting investigations, interviews and features, along with people in the news and current events. 60 Minutes has set unprecedented records in the Nielsen's ratings with a number 1 rating, five times, making it among the most successful TV programs in all of television history. This series has won more Emmy awards than any other news program and in 2003, Don Hewitt, the creator (back in 1968), was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Emmy, along with the 60 Minute correspondents. Added to the 11 Peabody awards, this phenomenally long-lived series has collected 78 awards up to the 2005 season and remains among the viewers top choice for news magazine features.
