Stars in Their Eyes (1990-2006)
Stars in Their Eyes is a talent show with a twist - contestants aren't necessarily showcasing their own talents, but their ability to mimic their favourite singers. Contestants appear briefly as themselves, to talk to the presenter, before speaking the famous catchphrase: `Tonight, I'm going to be…...' they walk through the now-famous doors, only to reappear completely rigged up to look like the celebrity they are planning to impersonate.
The audience votes for the best performance, and the winner from each show is invited back to perform again in the grand final, which was broadcast live, and viewers were able to vote for the winner.
It has been presented by: Leslie Crowther, Matthew Kelly, Cat Deeley & Harry Hill.

Since its inception in 1975, "SNL" has launched the careers of many of the brightest comedy performers of their generation. As The New York Times noted on the occasion of the show's Emmy-winning 25th Anniversary special in 1999, "in defiance of both time and show business convention, 'SNL' is still the most pervasive influence on the art of comedy in contemporary culture." At the close of the century, "Saturday Night Live" placed seventh on Entertainment Weekly's list of the Top 100 Entertainers of the past fifty years.
EastEnders
