Episode 1

The epic competition with a twist returns for a brand-new series. Paddy McGuinness hosts as 12 strangers begin a gruelling 18-day trek through the hostile tropical jungle of Langkawi, in Malaysia, to win a share of £300,000. The competitors will only be given basic equipment and rations to help them on their journey. But to keep the prize pot intact, they must resist the series of temptations thrown in their way. Any money they do spend on luxuries will mean the whole group loses out... In this first episode, tensions in the group soon erupt as fashion blogger Imani provokes non-spender Sam. And as the heat and humidity take their toll, businesswoman Vicki and paramedic Trish are tempted to take a £1500 boat taxi shortcut to their next camp. Meanwhile, 58-year-old retired prison officer Ted is pushed to breaking point. A custom-made swimming pool in the middle of the jungle, complete with canapés and champagne, proves too much for some to resist, causing resentment among the campmates.
