Day 1: Fade In
Jane Sadler is an overworked television producer and single mother in the middle of a fractious separation. When her young daughter goes missing in the middle of the night, Jane's world – and her controversial police TV show – implodes. Life imitates art: everything is a mystery, everyone has a secret and no one can be trusted.
Day 2: Cutting Room Floor
After seeing the security-camera footage of PJ staking out her house the night that Lake went missing, Jane goes on a desperate search to find PJ and question him. Meanwhile, Bird learns the truth about Lake's nanny; plus Pete, Ali and Tom canvas the neighborhood trying to find Lake.
Day 3: Day Out of Days
A breakthrough in the investigation sends Detective Bird and Jane to the studio to question the production team on her hit show. Meanwhile, Pete goes on the attack in a rash display of anguish - or guilt.
Day 4: Below the Line
Jane's belief that Pete took Lake leads her down a dark path, putting both of them in danger. Meanwhile, Bird digs further into Lake's disappearance and begins to unravel Jane's lies.
Day 5: Back to Ones
As the investigation continues and Jane's suspicions grow, she's more determined than ever to do anything to get her daughter back, including changing every detail of her show's series finale. Meanwhile, a guilt-stricken Pete inadvertently pushes Tom toward writing a career-making story.
Day 6: Down Day
Jane and Ali get a surprise phone call about who has Lake, but when the call is abruptly cut short, Jane has no way of tracing the call without going to the police. However, the only cop she is willing to trust is Gus, so she needs to find him – fast.
Day 7: Breaking the Story
Jane and Bird catch a break in the case when they revisit the scene of the Casita raid that started it all. Meanwhile, Ali learns some surprising news about Tom; and Jane discovers a shocking development about Gus.
Day 8: Against Type
Jane's search for Lake reaches a climax. Meanwhile, Ali finds herself in an unexpected situation with PJ, Jane's drug dealer.
Day 9: Recast
Jane flees town for her own protection while Bird continues to work the case. Meanwhile, Ali tries to keep the peace with Pete; and Red's identity is revealed.
Day 10: Fade Out
Jane finds herself in immediate danger when the kidnapper's identity is discovered. Bird's investigation connects him to new evidence that leads to a shocking confrontation. Meanwhile, Ali reveals a secret to Pete; and Tom has to make a choice between family and his career.

Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and lest known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Before joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed The Colbert Report, which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one-third of the time. Good luck, Bill!
