Two years after the melee which imploded upon Freeman Lake Apartments, we meet a traveling nurse named Deja. Much to her new friends' and colleagues' dismay, Deja announces she is taking on a new assignment at Atlanta University Hospital. Seeking housing while on assignment, Deja checks out a community post/safe travel guide for traveling nurses, where she meets Shana. Oblivious of its checkered past, Deja winds up in an apartment facing the mystifying lake at the residence (now) formerly known as Freeman Lake Apartments.
