Episodes
Week 1
Reality TV star and fan favorite Jennifer Schefft gets a second chance at love in the third installment of "The Bachelorette", as ABC's hit romance reality series returns on a new night with a two-hour special premiere. This season "The Bachelorette" says goodbye to the beaches of Southern California and hello to the streets of the Big Apple, as New York becomes the exciting new location for the hit series.
Week 2
The 15 men in Jen's life are ready to rumble - prompting the neighbors to call the police when the guys get loud and contentious in the bachelor pad. Not only is the pressure already getting to Jen's suitors, but Jen must calm herself as she prepares to go on her first one-on-one date with Keith, who received the "first impression" rose from Jen's best friends, Michelle and Abby. Then, Jen and seven of the men get the VIP treatment at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. On the other group date, Jen and some of the guys get a view of Manhattan high above the streets aboard a double-decker bus, and then enjoy an evening at sea on a harbor cruise. The competition heats up, as Jen must eliminate nearly half the men, going from 15 to eight.
Week 3
The men square off in a very physical game of street basketball, and are not afraid to slam one another to the ground if it means they will get some one-on-one time with Jen. As one team prevails, one special guy wins a romantic date with Jen to Harlem's Cotton Club, where the couple is serenaded with a special private performance by Lava Records' R&B/pop vocalist and actress Vanessa Williams. During the date, things get emotional as Jen's date breaks down about a past love. Then Jen steals away one of the guys on a helicopter ride to the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, where the stakes couldn't be any higher. Back at the house, the guys question Fabrice's interest in marriage, and jealousy about the individual dates begins to brew. The remaining six guys hang out with her in Central Park. Jen and the guys engage in a friendly game of football, and the guys struggle to find time to spend with her alone. Realizing that time is of the essence, one guy steals her away for a romantic walk, another takes her out on a rowboat and another sweeps her away for a cozy chat under a tree. At the rose ceremony, things start getting serious when Jen must send two of the eight men home.
Week 4
A surprise visit from Chris Harrison on a group date in Little Italy sends the men on a foot race to the top of the Empire State Building. Stripped of all their money, the men will have to get creative in order to be the first to the top. That one guy will get to spend the rest of the evening alone with Jen. In another competition, the men write anonymous letters to Jen describing why they feel they would be a good husband. Jen will have to choose the two best letters, and those men win individual dates with her. One lucky guy will get to spend an intimate evening at Frederick P. Rose Hall, the new home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, which includes a special performance by Concord Records' artist Peter Cincotti. Then, Jen and another lucky guy will strap on their firefighter gear for a special tour of Washington Square Park on the back of an FDNY fire truck. Afterwards, they head back to Jen's loft for dinner and a romantic hot tub dip. At the rose ceremony, at which Jen must eliminate two more men, Fabrice makes a stunning announcement.
Week 5
Jen and her final four men leave New York, as Jen looks forward to meeting the guys' families in their hometowns. Jen gets to travel back to her own hometown, Chicago, to spend some quality time at Wendell's apartment before meeting his family. When Jen and Wendell arrive at his parents' home, she discovers that his family was so nervous, they had a few too many cocktails. Will that cost Wendell his relationship with Jen? In a totally different but dramatic trip, Jen also travels to Rochester, NY, and takes a journey with Jerry down memory lane, as they first visit his high school. This is Jerry's first time visiting his home in many years and, as if he weren't nervous enough about keeping his connection with Jen, he's also very anxious about Jen meeting his deaf mom and whether they'll be able to communicate. So Jerry decides to teach Jen a bit of sign language to ease the potentially awkward situation. Then, when they head off to dinner with his family, there's an unexpected power outage and Jen's entire experience with Jerry's family is lit by candlelight. Ryan takes Jen home to Medford, OR, to meet his folks. Not only does his mom, Barbara, whip up a batch of "Barbaritos" -- her own special recipe for burritos - but, in one of the strangest moments in "Bachelorette" history, Jen is asked to sign their bathroom wall. Will that odd request ruin Jen's impression of Ryan's parents? In Oklahoma City, John Paul hopes to impress Jen by taking her to meet his parents and having a chef from one of his restaurants cook them a romantic dinner at his place.
Week 6
Join Jen for three especially romantic Valentine's Day dates, as she and the remaining men - John Paul, Jerry and Ryan -- travel for overnight trips to the Fairmont Southampton Hotel in Bermuda, Daufuskie Island Resort outside Savannah, Georgia, and Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod. Jen and John Paul fly off to Bermuda, where they fit in a Jet Ski ride and picnic on the beach before it starts raining and they have to head for cover. Things turn serious when they imagine what their everyday life would be like together, as they enjoy a romantic dinner on the beach punctuated with a spectacular fireworks display. A relaxing and idyllic date awaits Jen and Jerry, as they spend time at the Daufuskie Island Resort, where they picnic, play croquet and take a spin in a horse-drawn carriage. Things heat up when Jen challenges Jerry's sincerity - and admits that it has been bothering her lately. Finally, Jen and Ryan cozy up to one another in Cape Cod, sharing a romantic chat atop a lighthouse, where they address Jen's awkward visit with his parents. Later they snuggle up by a fire and have a romantic dinner on the beach. As Jen heads into making another difficult decision, the men are surprised to find out that she feels she needs just a little more time with each of them in some last minute chats. Then, Jen must present roses to only two of the three remaining men.
The Men Tell All
In one of biggest surprises in "Bachelor" or "Bachelorette" history, Andrew Firestone, the man who first proposed to Jen in April 2003 during the third installment of "The Bachelor," confronts the 23 rejected men who have left the show - including Stu, who was dubbed a "stalker" by the other guys, and Fabrice, who walked out on Jen before the rose ceremony. Andrew offers his opinion of the men, their unkind comments about him and their behavior towards his former sweetheart, as well as sets the record straight on the real story of his break-up with Jen. What does Andrew really think about Jen's second attempt to find love? In addition, the men who did not receive roses from Jen reunite to give the behind-the-scenes lowdown, attempting to resolve lingering conflicts among themselves and offering their predictions on which of the two remaining men she's likely to choose.
Week 7
The pressure has finally gotten to Jen. Faced with making one of the toughest decisions in her life - whether to choose Jerry or John Paul - she has an emotional meltdown. After bringing both the men home to meet her parents and one final intimate date with each guy back in her New York loft, the reality of the situation hits her. Her memories from "The Bachelor" and the aftermath of the series come flooding back. She never understood how difficult this choice would be. Will she choose Jerry, the bad boy who has an amazing chemistry with her? Or will she choose John Paul, the perfect gentleman who, on paper, is everything Jen has ever wanted in a man?
After The Final Rose
Jen and her man make their first post-show appearance to discuss her decisions, their dates and what it was like hiding their romance.
