Ramani is distraught when she discovers that her stepdaughter has been raped by the peeping tom and finds it impossible to stay away from the case. DC Rob Thatcher is put on the case much to Ramani's displeasure. She has concerns over whether he's up to the job. When Jasmin admits that she lied in interview, Ramani is concerned that she'll be pulled apart in the witness box if she goes ahead with the prosecution. PC Tony Stamp discovers that his Filipino girlfriend, Mae, is part of an illegal immigration racket, caught up in it because she owes money to the people that bought her to England. Tony offers to help her in any way he can, but his judgement is called into question when an identity fraud racquet reveals that his passport has been sold to them by Mae. Tony gives Mae the money to pay off her creditors, but then secretly sets up a sting with Immigration to catch the human traffickers. Mae is furious with him for keeping her in the dark. Is this the end of their relationship?
