Heimo Korth makes a new cabin for his family as summer comes to an end. The Seldens settle in and seek moose meat to fill their larder.
Only the Strong
The countdown to winter continues as Heimo breaks ground on the new cabin. Bob and his daughter embark on a river journey to the cabin where she was raised. The Lewises resurrect their very first cabin in the bush – a place abandoned for nearly 18 years.
Survival Mode
Preparations for winter continue, and focus centers on finding food. Heimo pursues caribou meat , while Tyler and Ashley score big game, building their confidence in the bush. Bob and his daughter reminisce on the past as they arrive at their cabin home.
Alone
Fall continues in the bush as the Last Alaskans settle into wilderness solitude. Battling loneliness, Bob Harte welcomes a visitor to his cabin. The Seldens bask in the glory of a major triumph, while Ray Lewis is just beginning the hunt for meat.
Winter's Edge
The race begins to secure food and shelter before the snow arrives. Heimo's family hunts for caribou, but will a hungry bear stop them in their tracks?
On Thin Ice
The Seldens undertake a four day trapping loop; Heimo competes with a pack of wolves to recover a moose; the Lewis cabin is rehabbed, but the girls still have a lot to learn about the home.
Dark Winter
It's the dead of winter and the Last Alaskans move through the icy Arctic. Heimo still needs a moose, while the Seldens embark on the next part of their journey.
Fire and Ice
Heimo and Edna say a final goodbye to their oldest cabin, while Charlie meticulously builds his very first and reflects on his future in the bush.
