As Christmas approaches, the reindeer are made ready for the busiest day of the year. The RAF assist the ski patrol with avalanche training.

The new year starts with some of the biggest snowstorms for years and the team on the mountain face a major struggle to keep it open.

The villagers have to lend a hand to dig the mountain out of trouble, Simon decides that what Aviemore really needs in the depths of winter is a beach party and, after 10 months off with two broken ankles, barman Brett gets back to boarding.

A hard season is starting to take its toll on the ski lifts and P-man struggles to keep it all working. Spud the piper decides to learn to ski and, at the Skiing-Doo, Sandra has a tough decision to make.

A tough winter season comes to a close for both the ski resort and Aviemore. Brian and Carol make a decision about the future of their ski hire business, Adam carves out a massive tricks park for the snowboarders, and Colin reflects on the toughest winter he's seen for many years.
