The Incident

The Investigation
West Midlands police continue their investigation into the disappearance of 18-year-old Nicola Payne. The police begin their forensic investigation of evidence, as well as questioning two local men and widen their inquiry to look at possible links to other serious cases and suspects in the area. When will Nicola be found?

The Trial
In 2012, over twenty years since Nicola Payne's disappearance, the police respond to new information about the case. A new police detective takes charge and re-opens the investigation as new searches and inquiries begin. The police vow to continue searching for answers.

Closure
Nicola Payne vanished in 1991, astonishingly 30 years on a man comes forward with new information, prompting more police searches and resources as the hunt for further leads continues. Nicola's family continue to mark each anniversary in the hope that one day the case will be solved.
