Episode 1
At Kirkdale, head vet Stephen has doggie dental duties to perform while his colleague Beth tends to Elvis the cat, who has a nasty open wound on his back following a fight with a fox. Down the road at Huyton, there's drama for Lesley when Shadow the Staffie is rushed in suffering with seizures. And Becca has an unusual looking animal to care for after it was found wandering the streets of Liverpool: it's a strange-looking chicken, and a new home must be found.
Episode 2
In this episode, Kirkdale head vet Stephen battles to save the leg of King George the pug puppy. Young vet Beth faces an uphill struggle when the owners of Bobo the cat, who is suffering from painful infected skin and bald patches, are reluctant to heed her advice, and local radio star Barney the budgie has a problem with his feathers which is hampering his flight.
Episode 3
In this episode, Kirkdale head nurse Lisa makes it her mission to nurture poorly hedgehog Spike back to full health. Pebbles the Chihuahua undergoes an operation to remove a nasty growth from her lip and Huyton head vet Matt entertains royalty, or a dog called Prince Williams at least.
Episode 4
At Kirkdale, head vet Stephen has an emergency case on his hands when the victim of a dog attack is rushed in. It's an agonising day at the Huyton surgery for the owner of Staffordshire bull terrier Kleeo, who needs delicate surgery to remove a lump from her nipple. Frankie the Chihuahua is off his food, Poppy the Yorkshire terrier has bad breath, and an abandoned baby squirrel gets a new mum: head nurse Lisa.
Episode 5
Bullmastiff Bob from Birkenhead faces surgery for a tumour; vet Hayley must decide whether to remove an airgun pellet from cat Belle. And Staffie Max has a mystery limp.
Episode 6
Chihuahua puppy Buddy traps his paw in a patio door. Mittens the rabbit is rushed in after its cage-mate dies mysteriously in the night, and Jen operates on Rottweiler Roxie's eye.
Episode 7
In this episode vets try to discover why Shih Tzu Bella is losing weight, three-week old baby chick Rosie is rushed in unable to walk having fallen from a height, and there's a look at the home life of head nurse Lisa whose current menagerie includes 40 chickens, four horses, two dogs, a cockatoo, a cat, and an African grey parrot called Lola. We follow her bull-mastiff Sam through a tumour removal and head vet Matt gives kitten Gavin the once-over.
Episode 8
In this episode, ten-year-old Jack Russell Tabasco faces surgery after damaging his leg ligaments running for a ball down a hole; vets try to work out why budgie George is losing his feathers; Snowy the cat has his tail removed in a cancer operation, and we follow baby Labrador Harley through his vet checks and puppy training.
Episode 9
In this episode there's a surprise in store for the owner of Casper the friendly rat, South African born vet Karla sees Lewy, a Staffie who's just itching to be treated, and head vet Stephen meets Ronin, a yappy Lhasa Apso who's driving her owner barking mad. Meanwhile, over at Huyton, vet David rasps a poorly rabbit's teeth, and Beth performs emergency surgery on Honey, an ageing German Shepherd with a life-threatening illness.
Episode 10
Huyton head vet Matt searches for the cause of wandering tomcat Loki's lame left leg. And love is in the air in the waiting room as inseparable American bulldog crosses Lexie and Floyd come in together to get her damaged teeth and his persistent runny nose checked over. Across town at Kirkdale, it's flea season, and Bengal cat Jack has some unwanted visitors. And young pup Milo faces some potentially life changing test results as to whether he's suffering from a rare liver condition.
Episode 11
In this episode, emotions run high as vet Beth battles to save Tilly the pug's damaged eye, while her colleague Karla treats Sky, the lurcher whose leg wound won't stop bleeding. The strays' room is home to Fang, the ferret that can't stop biting the hand that feeds it and a seagull that's fallen out of the sky. And Huyton head vet Matt faces a big decision about the future of beloved but ailing old spaniel Molly.
Episode 12
In this episode, at Kirkdale, Buddy the adorable shih-tzu puppy needs 24-hour care to keep him alive, Bobby the kitten has a complicated castration and Bear the rat goes under the knife to have a nasty looking lump removed. Meanwhile, over at Huyton, Winston the Yorkshire terrier has a life-changing hip operation - and there's a tail with a happy ending for Megan the cat, following her disagreement with a door.
