A criminal investigation drama revolves around a sharp-nosed consultant Hanaoka and a warm-hearted detective Komukai. Hanaoka, alias sniffer, is capable of profiling criminals by taking a sniff. Komukai is appointed a partner of twisted Hanaoka for his caring personality. The two handle a puzzling case of murdering VIPs with an unidentifiable weapon.
