Regina and Steve get very chummy during a game of Pictionary that also starts a fight between Cedric and Lovita. Elsewhere, Lydia takes offense to an assignment Steve gives his music class that requires them to report on their family histories. - - - Although Cedric and Lovita are tired of losing, Steve persuades them to continue participating in their weekly game night – if only to boost Regina's sagging spirits. However, another humiliating loss convinces Cedric that Lovita would rather have Steve as a partner. And though Lovita denies it, Cedric is convinced she believes he is only good for sex. Meanwhile, an assignment to find out how music played a part in her family history creates a crisis for the adopted Lydia. Not expecting problems, Steve schedules a dinner date at the apartment on the same night Regina plans to watch a movie.
