Episode 1
Maggie Cole is flattered when a radio journalist interviews about the history of Thurlbury. In her excitement and with the help of a couple of G&Ts, she shares gossip about some notable residents in the community… in particular; local GP Carol, publican Brian, author Marcus Ormansby, hairdresser Kelly, teaching assistant Roxanna and Maggie's best friend Jill.
Maggie throws a garden party for the broadcast, aided by her husband Peter, son Jamie and daughter-in-law Becka. Maggie's interview is played in full and all the guarded secrets, indiscretions and gossip are broadcast for the whole county to hear, changing life in Thurlbury forever.
Episode 2
Maggie wants to apologise to everyone she's upset and goes to see GP Carol, but she's swiftly rebuffed and Peter (Maggie's husband) comforts her, whilst attempting to hide the fact that her radio interview has gone viral.
The village is reeling from the interview, Maggie's ex-best friend Jill bonds with fellow members of the so-called ‘outed-six', including handsome author Marcus.
Meanwhile Neil and Kelly embrace what was broadcast and pretend that they're lottery winners.
A persistent Maggie refuses to leave Carol's surgery and ends up discovering the real story of the doctor's marriage. Maggie feeling more positive about everything until Jill visits later that evening.
Episode 3
Peter Cole is jittery about the press interest from Maggie's interview and the online petition calling for his resignation over the scandal.
Alex is greeted at work by two money lenders, they've found him because his girlfriend Roxanna's picture appeared in the papers. At the school, author Marcus Ormansby gives a talk and finds that romance is blossoming between him and Jill (another member of the ‘outed six').
Maggie's visit to Kelly's salon is tense, but they have a heart to heart – leading Kelly to return home to husband Neil and take action over their ‘lottery' money which will have dangerous consequences for Alex…
Episode 4
Maggie's headmaster husband Peter has to contend with a campaign for his resignation and journalists are calling trying to dig up family skeletons…Fortunately, his ever dependable secretary is watching his back.
Money lenders Patrick and Phil are putting pressure on Alex to repay his debts and Marcus and Jill's relationship blossoms when he accompanies her to the ‘planning meeting' at the village hall for the village celebrations. Maggie and Peter turn up just as a big family secret is publicly revealed.
Episode 5
Maggie is in need of some time alone so she heads to the pub to get a room and amend another ‘radiogate' wrong. She learns the real story of landlord Brian, who is far from a ‘gangster on-the-run'.
With no rooms free, Maggie stays with daughter-in-law Becka and they have a rare moment of bonding. Peter is working late at the school when his secretary Karen reveals her feelings towards him in a very unexpected way.
Alex visits Roxanna whilst she's babysitting Neil and Kelly's son Josh, and desperately tries to find the ‘lottery' winnings' to pay off the lenders.
Episode 6
It's the day of the village celebrations, Roxanna is still terrified by Alex's alarming behaviour last night and is desperate to get to him before he confronts the money lenders.
Jill is shaken fromwitnessing Peter and Karen kissing and wonders if she should tell Maggie what's happened?
Maggie is only concerned with re-uniting with her own family and heads to the celebrations with Becka to meet them. As all the villagers gather for the fete, a sudden shocking series of events are put in motion that could potentially cost the life of one beloved character and change everyone else's in Thurlbury forever.
