London is home to 13 professional football clubs and managing the flow of fans on every match day is a huge logistical challenge, particularly on the one day of the year when the season's final Premier League matches kick off simultaneously. This year the challenge is even greater because tens of thousands of cyclists are descending on the capital for the annual Ride London event, and eight miles of city centre roads are now closed to traffic.
Adding to that, numerous train cancellations due to engineering works and delays caused by track-side incidents add pinch-points and are stretching a system that is on the verge of being seriously overcrowded at any moment. For staff at south-west and south-east London stations exuberant and rowdy supporters bring back bad memories of serious misbehaviour, including staff being pushed off platforms and on to rail-tracks. Will this be another bad year for staff on TfL's front-line?
Altogether less abrasive, but just as excitable, is the experience of DLR staff at Pudding Mill Lane. Here the chances of over-exuberant passengers is guaranteed. But these are voracious ABBA fans going to see a show by the eponymous Swedish pop gods' avatars, delivering their greatest hits, so station staff are more likely to be leading a sing-song than stopping a ding-dong.

The Repair Shop is a workshop of dreams, where broken or damaged cherished family heirlooms are brought back to life.
Furniture restorers, horologists, metal workers, ceramicists, upholsterers and all manner of skilled craftsmen and women have been brought together to work in one extraordinary space, restoring much-loved possessions to their former glory.
Many of these items have incredible stories behind them and a unique place in history: from an accordion played in the Blitz by a woman who is now in her 90s, to a beautifully crafted clock made by a father who was completely blind; a Pinball machine that is currently being used as a kitchen counter, and a Davenport desk with its trademark fake drawers which fooled burglars - and their crowbar.
The Repair Shop is an antidote to our throwaway culture and shines a light on the wonderful treasures to be found in homes across the country.
The Neighborhood
The Neighborhood telling about what happens when the friendliest guy in the Midwest moves his family to a neighborhood in Los Angeles where not everyone looks like him or appreciates his extreme neighborliness. When Dave Johnson and his family arrive from Michigan, they're unfazed that their new dream home is located in a community quite different from their small town. However, their opinionated next-door neighbor, Calvin Butler, is wary of the newcomers, certain that they'll disrupt the culture on the block. Dave realizes that fitting into their new community is more complex than he expected, but if he can find a way to connect with Calvin, they have an excellent chance of making their new neighborhood their home.
