Jeff also delves into ICE CREAM's long-lasting history as he straps on his hiking boots and heads into the wilderness with another ice-cream innovator to forage some rather unexpected ingredients. When Jeff is invited to an ice-cream social aboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier, he discovers a deeper connection between humans and the food we love, especially the power of nostalgia. Jeff Goldblum gets under the skin of the TATTOO community and discovers a world of passionate artists and eccentric personalities at one of the largest tattoo conventions in the country. He then jets off to Hawaii to meet a tattoo master who singlehandedly saved an ancient tradition. Tattoos have a rich cultural history, but they also have thrilling potential future applications, which Jeff learns when visiting a research lab that makes ‘smart tattoos' that monitor your UV levels, blood sugar and much more. But why is it that we value these things – is it their rarity, what they symbolize, or a more primordial attraction within our brains to shiny things? Jeff discovers all this and more as he visits the headquarters of Diamond Foundry, where they can grow chemically perfect diamonds entirely in a laboratory.
