Brian Unger takes locals on an adventure to two vastly different but equally-awe inspiring symbols of American ingenuity. First, Brian travels back to San Francisco in the midst of the Great Depression. This ultra modern city transforms before our eyes to a time when the famous Golden Gate Bridge was merely a dream of Chief engineer Joseph Strauss. Brian and his cast get an exclusive behind the scenes look at the bridge to see what went into its engineering and design - they take a rare look at the bridge's anchorage, then travel by boat underneath it as the bridge transforms before their eyes to its original design and construction.
Cowboys, Cops, Corrals & Divorce Vegas Style
Brian Unger takes locals back through time to the Old West and the New West, to relive two uniquely American stories. First stop: Tombstone AZ, in the year of 1881. The restored touristy town of today transforms before our eyes to the dusty Wild West locale that it was when man like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday enforced their own brand of frontier justice. Brian busts a few myths about the infamous shootout at the O.K. Corral and reveals where the gunflight really took place. Hint, it wasn't at the O.K. Corral. Next, Brian travels to the Sin City of lights in the 1940s and '50s, Las Vegas, NV.
Monuments Man and Tramping through Hollywood
Brian travels back in time to 1884 in Washington, DC, to see how a swamp turned into the National Mall and to learn the story behind the US Capitol's construction. Then, he takes locals tramping through Hollywood, CA, in search of the hidden filming locations and studios of Charlie Chaplin.
Liberty Bell Escape and Hidden Canyon Treasures
Brian Unger takes locals on an adventure to uncover the histories of 2 dramatically different landscapes. First, he shows them the bootlegged journey of the Liberty Bell through Pennsylvania; then, he travels to Arizona to explore the stories of the Grand Canyon's past.
Lincoln's Killer on the Run
Brian Unger and a handful of locals travel back to Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia, at the end of the Civil War, to follow the escape route of Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth. The group meets in the alley behind Ford's Theater. It transforms in front of our eyes to 1865 when Booth made his daring escape after shooting president Lincoln. Then, the arduous journey of Booth begins as we follow him and co-conspirator David Herold, as they flee on horseback from federal officers. Next the cast travels to Maryland, where Booth and Herold hide out at the home of Confederate sympathizer Samuel Cox, and then, to the actual pine thicket that the duo hid in for a week after a nervous Cox asks them to leave.
Pocahontas & Death Valley Scotty
Brian Unger and some locals time travel to Jamestown, Virginia, and Death Valley, California, to learn how they helped shape America today. First stop, Jamestown, Virginia, in the 17th century. Thirteen years before Plymouth Rock, Jamestown became the first permanent English settlement in America. Now an active archaeological site, Jamestown transforms before our eyes to a time when setters faced a myriad of hardships in the New World. Brian and his guests participate in the wedding of Pocahontas and John Rolfe, then take part in an active archaeological dig where they become the first visitors to hold a rare, 400 year-old artifact.
Rockets Red Glare & Rockin' LA Hotels
Brian Unger and some locals travel back in time to Baltimore, Maryland, and Los Angeles, California, for two very different American stories. First, Brian and his guests time travel to Baltimore at the height of the War of 1812. They start their journey at Fells Point, a major shipyard during the war. Some of the most famous schooners were built right here, including the "Pride Of Baltimore." The group sets sail on a replica called "Pride of Baltimore II" and the schooner transforms in front of our eyes into its original 19th century glory. Next, the group is led through the actual Battle of Baltimore, where they fire cannons at British ships and attempt to sing the drinking song that eventually became our National Anthem.
Eye of the Storm, Fountain of Youth
Brian and some locals time travel to Galveston, Texas, for a story of triumph over tragedy, then to St. Augustine, Florida, to find out why the Spanish set their sights on the sunshine state. First stop, Galveston in 1900, site of the deadliest hurricane in U.S. history. They find out why the local U.S. Weather Bureau chief, Isaac Cline, grossly underestimated its power, leaving the city unprepared for its deadly destruction. They visit the old weather bureau building where Cline would take his readings and into one of the few homes that survived the storm.
AZ Diamondbacks & Hohokam
Time periods collide as Brian & locals visit the Arizona Diamondbacks spring training facility, where the MLB meets an ancient Native American ballgame. Brian throws the first pitch and is joined by Louis Gonzalez & Eric Byrnes.
Breaking Barriers & Sherman's March to the Sea
Brian and guests travel to the Mojave Desert in the 1940's to see who had "The Right Stuff" at Edwards Air Force Base. Then to Atlanta at the end of the Civil War to witness General Sherman's destructive "March to the Sea."
Rocket Men
Brian and guests travel back to the 60s and 70s to see where the Space Race was won, Cape Canaveral. They visit NASA's original mission control, the launch control center, and 'VAB', where rockets are still put together.
Bonnie & Clyde & All That Jazz in NOLA
Brian and guests are on the trail of America's most infamous couple, Bonnie and Clyde. Then to New Orleans to witness the birth of what many say is the American art form, jazz, on a riverboat and a famous country society hall.
Riding Coney Island & the Guns of San Francisco
Brian takes locals back to the late 1800's to see Coney Island in all its original glory. Then heads west during the Spanish American War to explore the birthplace of San Francisco, the former military base known as the Presidio.
Mob Scene in Miami
Brian Unger researches the life that Al Capone led in Miami after leaving his shady Chicago past behind. He relives Capone's trial and takes an exclusive tour of his mansion. Then, he gets the inside scoop from Scarface's niece.
Key West Defense & Nola Pirate
Brian and locals explore what Key West was like in the heart-stopping days of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Then, he heads to New Orleans to relive the swashbuckling story of notorious pirate Jean Lafitte in the early 1800s.
Billy the Kid & Atomic History
Brian and locals take New Mexico by storm, riding in the hoofprints of Wild West legend Billy the Kid. Then they visit the Manhattan Projects top-secret military site, where scientists built and tested the first atomic bomb.
Kentucky Horses & Bourbon
Brian and locals unearth two Kentucky traditions, horse racing and bourbon. They veer off the Bourbon Trail to the birthplace of the American beverage, then gallop back in time to bluegrass horse country for a visit with Secretariat.
Paul Revere & The Anarchists In Boston
Brian travels to Boston to bust the myth of Paul Revere's Midnight Ride and play detective on the trial and execution of Sacco and Vanzetti in the 1920s. The Italian anarchists were charged for the killing of two men.

Grantchester
Eavesdropping on the life of Sidney Chambers, a charismatic, charming, crime-fighting clergyman, and his partner in crime Police Inspector Geordie Keating, became a highlight for the audience who revelled in their on screen partnership. Geordie's plain-speaking, down to earth approach to policing complemented Sidney's more gentle technique of coaxing information from witnesses and suspects. Their unlikely pairing became a true friendship as each offered a different insight into the crimes they unravelled.
The Repair Shop
The Repair Shop is a workshop of dreams, where broken or damaged cherished family heirlooms are brought back to life.
Furniture restorers, horologists, metal workers, ceramicists, upholsterers and all manner of skilled craftsmen and women have been brought together to work in one extraordinary space, restoring much-loved possessions to their former glory.
Many of these items have incredible stories behind them and a unique place in history: from an accordion played in the Blitz by a woman who is now in her 90s, to a beautifully crafted clock made by a father who was completely blind; a Pinball machine that is currently being used as a kitchen counter, and a Davenport desk with its trademark fake drawers which fooled burglars - and their crowbar.
The Repair Shop is an antidote to our throwaway culture and shines a light on the wonderful treasures to be found in homes across the country.
