Devastating wildfires are tearing across Los Angeles at frightening speeds. The governor has now declared a state of emergency as thousands have been forced to evacuate. NBC's Liz Kreutz reports for TODAY. Los Angeles councilmember, Traci Park, who represents one of the areas under siege from the intense wildfires, joins TODAY to share an update and break down what people should know about the massive evacuations in the area. "This is not a drill," she says. Brutally cold temperatures are blanketing much of the United States as another major winter storm with snow and ice is set to sweep across the South. NBC's Priscilla Thompson reports for TODAY. Dangerous winds in Los Angeles are intensifying the rapidly spreading wildfires.
