Abby and Riley
Abby, 16, is mum to Riley, seven months. She fell pregnant at the age of 15 but things didn't go according to plan. Abby, boyfriend Jake and her mum Lara were told there was an 80 per cent chance Abby's child would be severely disabled and would never walk or talk. As the doctors predicted, Riley wasn't breathing when he was born and he was rushed to intensive care. Tests found a cyst and enlarged cavities in his brain which could be life threatening. But a week later he was out of hospital.
Now juggling motherhood with studying for 13 GCSEs, Abby hasn't missed a day of school since having Riley. She's determined to get her qualifications and provide a good future for her son. Abby's also desperate to find out exactly what's wrong with Riley; he has clubbed feet, webbed hands and he can't smile or suck properly. He's undergoing numerous tests but Abby still doesn't know yet if his condition is life threatening. She's looked online and thinks she might have found out the condition Riley is suffering from, but will doctors be able to give her a final diagnosis?
Danielle and Mollie
At 12 Danielle discovered the identity of her father, professional wrestler Karl 'the Barbarian' Kramer, and decided she wanted to follow in his footsteps. But aged 15 her wrestling career plans were forced on hold when she discovered she was pregnant. The baby's father is 18 year old fellow wrestler Alex and though the couple are no longer together he's determined to be in his baby's life. Danielle's new boyfriend Scott 'Fusion' is also a pro-wrestler and a close friend of Alex and they are facing each other in the wrestling ring. How will the men in Danielle's life cope when the baby arrives? Will Danielle's career break jeopardise her wrestling future or will she, as planned, be back in the ring just weeks after the baby is born?
Mollie is 16 and mum to one year old Ebonie. She was 15 when she fell pregnant unexpectedly. Dad, Ross, is finding fatherhood strange but is taking it in his stride. Their relationship is a different matter as the young couple find it difficult to find time to spend together. Mollie and Ross both attend college full time - they want to have successful careers to provide for Ebonie. Will Mollie and Ross be able to reignite their relationship or will the practicalities of parenthood and studying leave no room for romance?
Amy and Naomi
Amy, 16, lives in Plymouth with her mum Andrea and son Jacob, 11 months. She used contraception and also used the morning after pill, but on the one occasion she didn't, she fell pregnant. Her ex-boyfriend Petrit didn't cope well with becoming a dad. His parents would have preferred him to marry a Muslim girl and despite opposition from both families he is determined to win Amy back. But will Amy accept him? And can they stay together despite the odds?
Naomi, 16, lives on her own with her baby Leo, four months. She moved out of home because her mum is also a single parent and has six children ranging from teens to toddlers and a six-month-old baby (she was pregnant at the same time as Naomi). The teenager is very house proud and has a grown up approach to motherhood and her finances, using colour coded charts to make sure she pays all her bills. But mum worries that she is taking life too seriously and losing touch with her friends.
Tonie and Bobbi
Rebellious teenager Tonie was forced to give up her life of partying and drinking when, at 15, she found out she was pregnant. Tonie vowed to be a good mum, stay in school and eventually get a job, but it all starts to fall apart only four weeks after the birth of her daughter, Lola. Missing her friends, Tonie starts to slip back into her old ways, much to the annoyance of mum Rachel who is often left holding the baby. Eventually Rachel gives Tonie an ultimatum - improve your behaviour or leave home. Will Tonie change her ways and take responsibility for her baby girl? Or will mum be forced to take drastic action?
Nervous young mum to be Bobbi is expecting a baby boy. She's petrified of stretch marks, the birth and whether she's ready to be a parent. Her older sister Naomi, mum to thee-year-old Ellie, is concerned too. She also fell pregnant at 15 and knows just how difficult it is. As we follow Bobbi from pregnancy to birth and motherhood, will she be able cope with the sleepless nights and nappy changes and finally become a proud parent?
Ashleigh and Sophie
16-year-old Ashleigh and her 19-year-old boyfriend Ryan are expecting their first child. Ashleigh's mum lives abroad and her dad with his new family, so she grew up with her grandma in Norfolk. Ashleigh is determined that her child will have a stable and happy childhood with the involvement of both parents. But over the last months, Ashleigh and Ryan's relationship has hit the rocks and their constant arguing has led Ashleigh to question whether it's fair on their child to continue with relationship.
With the pressures of parenthood upon them, will the young couple salvage their relationship and give their child the start in life Ashleigh so badly craves?
Sophie, Ashleigh's best friend, discovered at 15 that she too was expecting a baby, due just seven weeks after her friend. Sophie lives at home with her family and 17-year-old fiancé and father of her baby, Connor. Neither Sophie nor Connor have a job and her hardworking parents have re-mortgaged their home so Sophie's baby will want for nothing. Despite all this Sophie is incredibly lazy and expects everyone else to run around after her. Will motherhood put and end to Sophie's idle ways?
Charlotte and Natasha
Aged fifteen, Charlotte had a career in the armed forces planned, but then she found out she was pregnant. With the support of her mum Kelly, Charlotte was determined to follow her dreams and was back at school in north Wales just three weeks after giving birth. A year on, mum Kelly feels the support she has given her daughter isn't being appreciated and their relationship is strained. Eventually things reach breaking point. Without her mum's help, Charlotte's education is at risk and if things don't improve she faces being thrown out by her own mother.
At fifteen, Natasha was twenty weeks into her pregnancy before she discovered she was expecting. Now, with her three-month-old son, she's living in the dining room at her sister's house in Yorkshire. She needs to find a home of her own, and that's not the only change on the horizon. Natasha has a new boyfriend, catering assistant Daryl. Becky and Davita
Sixteen-year-old Becky is mum to fourteen-month old Kenzie and has been finding life tough since falling pregnant. She lives with her mum Caroline, her five siblings and Caroline's fiancé in Portsmouth. Her relationship with her boyfriend is complicated - it has been on and off for some time and Abbie's not sure if he's the baby's father. If he is the father, she dreams they will get back together.
