World War II by Drone - Season 1

Deep in the Ardennes Forest in Belgium, a team of World War II archaeologists are examining the location of the Battle of the Bulge. Using a drone equipped with the latest Lidar technology, they're searching for the fighting positions of the African American 333rd Field Artillery Battalion, a unit that was brutally massacred by Nazi troops after their capture. Follow the modern-day investigation and revisit the battle that helped determine the outcome of WWII while also paving the way towards the desegregation of the U.S. Army.

In 1943, the Allies launched a campaign to liberate Italy from the grip of the occupying Nazi forces. The key to their success: the capture of Rome, but strong German resistance and tough terrain turned what was supposed to be a five-week mission into a nearly year-long conflict.
