Gina Dawson is determined to prove her mettle as the first Woman Police Constable to serve in her hometown. But her resolve is tested on her first day when she encounters thieves, runaways, neglected children, and hazing from her fellow officers. Meanwhile, an abandoned mine yields a shocking discovery, and DI Burns and Sgt Fenton investigate a serious attack on a young woman.

Memories Are Made of This
When another woman is attacked in Victoria Park, Gina risks her career to prove Donald's innocence. Meanwhile, Jack discovers some interesting information about the missing boys case, and Pratt has some problems with a boy of his own.

Great Pretenders
Despite Fenton's threat, Gina cannot ignore some new evidence and she risks all in making one last attempt to prove Donald's innocence. As William Parker is laid to rest, a troubled Jack has a new suspect and an attack at the cafe leaves an officer's life in danger.
