Season 5
Episodes
Reclaimed Party Pad
A young couple looking for a "Fancy Farmhouse" themed-yard gets a total backyard transformation with reclaimed elements at every turn. Salvaged Chicago street pavers and 100-year-old barn wood are used to create a unique patio and deck area up at the house, with an "urbanite" fire pit made from elements in their yard completing the look in back. To top it off, a custom cedar table with a concrete farmhouse sink provides a grill prep station for the massive charcoal grill.
A Slammin' Stainless Steel Hot Tub
A young couple that have a rather unimpressive Chicago backyard help transform it into an amazing outdoor experience, complete with new paver patio, flaming water feature, and stainless steel hot tub. The challenge here is clearing out every inch of the backyard and putting something awesome in its place in just two days. And the final result is highlighted by a new fence, new plantings, a custom bar with a mosaic inspired by the homeowner's artwork, and lighting that captures every detail of this yard that is designed for both intimacy and entertaining.
Woodland Garden Getaway
A young couple that love to entertain transform a jungle of a backyard into a beautiful entertaining getaway with gazebo and fireplace. The overgrown and neglected yard becomes an entertainer's dream, complete with a new flagmat patio that opens onto gravel paths, plantings with lanterns and a new lighting design and a beautiful new gazebo . The refurbishing of an outdoor fireplace and new plantings throughout create a beautiful woodland garden ready for entertaining.
Rocking Atlanta
A young Atlanta couple has a huge but run-down backyard that has become a recycled mess. First the deck, retaining wall and foundation plantings are removed. Then the space is transformed with gigantic boulders, paver patio and rustic wood-burning fireplace, and the old deck is repurposed into an Amish-style picnic table. In the end, this couple finds themselves with an amazing entertaining and relaxation spot that is more mountain retreat than Atlanta backyard.
Moroccan Arbor Lounge
It's one overgrown and unused Atlanta backyard that's in dire need of some attention! Ahmed and crew are given the challenge of converting a large space into a Moroccan-inspired hangout. In just two days, this backyard is completely transformed as a bamboo plank walkway lead to the way to a Moroccan-inspired bamboo arbor. Plus, this homeowner lucks out big time with a mosaic tile fireplace, lounge seating and loads of outdoor entertainment.
Triple Decker
How many decks can you fit into one backyard? Natalie and Paul's growing family will have three in this water-themed episode. For starters, the pool deck will undergo a face-lift with brand-new coping all around. The interior of the pool also gets a remodel with a smooth Pebble Tec finish. Swimmers will have plenty of sitting room on a shaded composite raised deck adorned with handblown water-drop fiber optic lights. The kids even get their own play area: a wet deck with five water jets. This will be the yard all the neighbors want to hang out in!
Swim Up Margarita Bar
This bartender's tragic yard is transformed into the ultimate bachelor party pad with a massive margarita bar that's kicked up with a built-in TV. The outdated pool is refinished in black, with sleek glass tile providing a pop all around the waterline and along the new Caribbean deck. To top it off, lush plantings provide pops of color behind a retaining wall, and a "dock" is built to create another entertaining area along the edge of the pool.
Bali Escape
A young California couple has a backyard that is overgrown and neglected. There's tons of space and room for improvement, but with an old weathered deck, a corner tetherball court and overgrown vegetation, they just don't know where to start. The challenge here is to get rid of the forgotten elements of this yard while making room for the change to come. The final outcome is a Bali-style retreat for the couple, fused with a few elements that their children can enjoy. The end result is a classy reinterpretation of this backyard, complete with a meditation deck with its own rain feature, climbing wall for the kids, wine barrels turned into swings, and a curving custom poured patio.
Backyard Balcony
Like so many of the guys you see manhandling power tools on "Yard Crashers," Matt Pidwerbecki is a general contractor. Problem is he spends so much time upgrading everyone else's home that he has no time left for his own yard, which is full of speedboats, power tools and way too much dead grass. This episode elevates the view of his rockin' backyard with the addition of a second-story door, balcony and composite deck, mature trees, regulation-sized horseshoe pit, soil-stabilized pathways, pergola-covered spa, and original pop art. In two days, this outdoor abyss will morph into a bachelor's bliss.
Yard with a View
A backyard next to a creek is completely transformed into a cozy spot to enjoy a hot tub, fire pit, flagstone patio and redwood swing set. An opening cut into the newly built fence creates a yard with a view.
Colonial Hillside Redo
Landscaping a backyard slope poses an inherent challenge. But this brick-filled space is anchored by several great projects. Taking a cue from the existing brick retaining wall, the "Crasher" crew adds a 10-foot-long brick fountain with handcrafted metal swan waterspouts surrounded by a concrete deck. The back patio expansion includes a three-tiered pergola remodel that's tricked out in custom metal art, sunroofs and a brick basket-weave extension pad. The hillside gets all new landscaping to stabilize the soil, along with a swing-for-two overlooking a knot garden below.
Light-Up Onyx Bar
This Las Vegas native gets her boring desert yard transformed into party central. A travertine patio expands the entertaining space as it leads from the sliding glass door out to a massive fireplace wall with lush landscaping all around. A seat wall and L-shaped bar are custom-built and topped off with onyx countertops that are lit from below with LED rope lighting.
Vegas Splash Pad
"Yard Crashers" is taking on Sin City! A once ordinary backyard in the desert is completely transformed into a cool outdoor hot spot. This crash goes above and beyond with a modern splash pad for both kids and adults. Plus, Ahmed surprises these homeowners with a fully loaded outdoor kitchen, complete with a grill, blender, refrigerator and topped off with concrete countertops and unique tile. And in Las Vegas, you gotta have shade, so they bring in a one-of-a-kind cluster umbrella feature to keep this yard cool!
