With a lot of luck, inspector Sonja Schwarz escapes the assassination attempt of a sniper. However, her husband Thomas, who is sitting next to her in the car, is critically injured. While Sonja, who was in shock, informed her stepdaughter Laura and her grandmother Katharina Matheiner, her boss Matteo Zanchetti investigated the scene of the accident and found a strange clue. At the same time, Jonas Kerschbaumer and his father are investigating the case of a mountain farmer's son who died in an accident.
