Kitchen Crashers - Season 2
Season 2
Episodes
Vegas Outdoor Kitchen Baby
Brian and Julie are expecting their second child any day, so the clock is ticking on this amazing outdoor kitchen crash. An old grill and TV sitting on a hose reel will be transformed into an amazing outdoor kitchen experience. Starting with new pavers, the entire backyard gets crashed with new cedar plank cabinets, an outdoor fireplace with a built-in TV, pizza oven and an ice rail for chilling drinks.
Dated & Dark Kitchen Overhaul
Interior designer and host, Alison Victoria, takes over for a Craigslist-loving, DIY couple that needs some expert help brightening their kitchen and opening up the space to both their dining and living rooms. The new design knocks out cabinets previously hanging over the bar area, widens the archway into the living room and substitutes an old cooktop with a new range and microwave. Alison replaces painted black cabinetry with a white shaker door look and trades chipping concrete countertops for gray quartz ones. The couple gets their first-ever backsplash, a natural marble mesh mount with green tones throughout. To finish off the look, Alison designs a DIY light fixture incorporating mason jars, wire, Edison light bulbs and a cut-and-sanded barrel to light up their dining space.
Vegas Eco Kitchen
Juanita isn't thrilled with the lack of space and storage in her kitchen, so the whole space is being redone. This crash starts with demo and continues with new cabinets, countertops, appliances and a solid-wood kitchen island with a dazzling blue countertop, all with an eye towards being eco-friendly.
Time to Tear out that Carpet
Interior designer and host Alison Victoria picks a birthday girl out a large crowd after the young woman claims her carpeted kitchen is as bad as it gets. The green carpet is just the beginning of a long list of issues in this dated, isolated and underutilized kitchen. Alison gets to work, creating a pony wall next to the stairway, eliminating an awkward pantry and pushing the footprint of the kitchen back to create additional space and comfort. She keeps with a traditional yet modern look, bringing in espresso-colored cabinets and light natural-quartz countertops and replacing worn-out green carpeting with oak flooring. Dark-gray wainscoting, crown molding, hand-painted cement tiles and a custom DIY wine rack built out of a shipping pallet add the finishing touches to this classic yet modern kitchen.
Sleek, Chic, Chicago Kitchen
A small, drab Chicago kitchen is in for a fresh new look. Interior designer and host, Alison Victoria, and the Kitchen Crashers crew start with demo to open the space and then the build begins. From new cabinets and countertops to flooring, lighting and a great tile wall, this space is completely transformed. After just a few days, this small area becomes the beautiful, functional kitchen these homeowners have always dreamed of!
Million-Dollar Kitchen Crash
An outdated, country-style kitchen isn't cutting it for homeowners who love all things bling. Alison Victoria rips out the soffit and closes off a doorway to the dining room to create additional and much-needed storage space for the couple and their triplets. Old patterned tile flooring is covered with snap-in oak planks and chic white and cement gray cabinets help modernize the kitchen. Alison surprises the homeowners with countertops made out of cash-a million dollar's worth! To add to the flash is a glass pillowed edge backsplash tile unlike any the homeowners have seen before and a dining table covered in 4,608 pennies.
Quadruplets Kitchen
Being recently blessed with quadruplets has created certain kitchen problems for a Chicago couple who has run out of space. Thank goodness they ran into interior designer and host, Alison Victoria, because their kitchen will never be the same! From floor repairs to new cabinets, countertops and appliances, this kitchen gets a complete transformation with the end result not only more functional, but much more beautiful.
Old House, Newlywed Kitchen
Chicago newlyweds are in for a treat when their vintage home is brought up to date with a brand new kitchen. A window is closed over and a pocket door installed to shift the layout of the kitchen to make room for larger appliances, additional storage and countertop space. Craftsman style cabinets in both sandalwood grain and barn red provide endless storage for the couple while light Silestone countertops bring in a clean, new look. Woven flooring is installed for both cushion and style and a DIY radiator cover helps hide an eyesore. The couple construct a DIY spice rack that fits in their cabinet door, complimenting their love for baking while keeping the kitchen organized. A DIY light fixture made of wine bottles that prices for $500 in stores, but is made for 50 bucks! Lastly, Alison gives the kitchen a special touch framing Chicago-themed post cards and adding glass shelving to house the homeowner's handed down salt and pepper collection.
Family Friendly Kitchen
Alison takes a dated and poorly laid out kitchen and transforms it into the perfect space to raise a large family. A drop down ceiling fitted with fluorescent lighting is removed, making way for a new drywall ceiling with can lighting to brighten the room. To allow for additional cabinetry, a window is closed off and the mudroom door is replaced with a full lite door to bring in more light. Old, sparse cabinetry is cleared out and replaced with buttercup yellow and mint green cabinets, doubling the storage in the kitchen. The kitchen table that never quite fit is swapped out to make space for a large peninsula where the family can do homework, snack and hang out. Cushy cork flooring, a multi-colored tile ceramic backsplash and brand new appliances give the kitchen functionality and style. To add a personal touch, Alison brings in a DIY garden wall and DIY bulletin board to give the children a space in the kitchen without letting them take over the place.
Refined Rustic Kitchen
A Chicago couple gets a double 'Crash' as their small, dated kitchen is blown out into a refined rustic masterpiece and an unused adjacent bedroom becomes the new dining room. A custom pantry is built from reclaimed barn wood and galvanized pipe becomes a unique pot rack and a base for a butcher block island. All new stainless steel appliances are installed with sleek concrete countertops and a hand made terra cotta tile backsplash.
Doubled-the-Space-Kitchen
When Alison ambushes Val and Bob Honan she finds the couple has completely renovated their Chicago home except for the kitchen. Literally starting from the ground up, Alison and the crew build new floors, cabinets, a custom banquet, a one of a kind table in addition to new cabinets, appliances and lighting. When this crash is done, there is twice as much space and the end result is absolutely stunning.
Elegant Farmhouse Kitchen
With the 'Blog Cabin' coming together nicely in Maine, host Chris Grundy has a list of blogger choices to put into a giant empty space which needs to be a kitchen. Enter Alison Victoria to save the day with cabinets, countertops, kitchen island, and custom built nine foot table and barn wood coffee bar. The result of these enormous additions and the blogger selections is an amazing and elegant farmhouse kitchen anyone would be thrilled to win.
Barn Wood and Leather Kitchen
An outdated Chicago kitchen is in for a whole new look using shades of gray as the color palate. Alison and the Kitchen Crashers crew will start with demo and then bring in everything from cabinets and countertops to leather flooring to an amazing barn wood and copper wall treatment. The crew only has only three short days to tackle all of it.
Festive Firehouse Kitchen
They saved Kitchen Crashers host and interior designer Alison Victoria's condo from disaster, now it's her turn to give back and transform a historic Chicago firehouse's disastrous kitchen into a dream kitchen. Alison pulls out all of the stops, giving this firehouse a rolling island, a giant prep space, brand new stainless steel and high gloss red custom cabinetry and a coffee bar. Old and dirty appliances are replaced with four refrigerators and two dishwashers. Alison adds a personal touch to the space, creating a giant dedication wall to remember fallen officers and commemorate the history of the firehouse, complete with a hand-painted mural of the house logo. To keep the firefighters organized, Alison installs an information wall covered in chalkboard paint and a custom chalkboard calendar to keep track of daily chores and shifts. To combat the long shifts, Alison installs a full coffee bar and gives the firefighters two new coffee makers. A DIY pot rack made from an old ladder, some fireman inspired ornaments and a lot of holiday cheer makes this transformation a true holiday celebration.
