With their charming, older home crammed with guitars, pianos and kid stuff, Ilda and Ryan need a domestic do over. But Ilda's in love with her fixer upper while Ryan's ready to run out the door to a new home. With a budget that doesn't match the couple's must-have list, can designer Hilary renovate their house and bring back the love to make Ryan see a future there. Or will realtor David save the day by finding a different house to serve as a suitable family space?
A Long Time Coming
Homeowners Steven and Stephanie had a five year plan when they moved into their house seven years ago. Now, they are ready for some changes. They need more space and function in their home. Steven thinks their home can still achieve all they wanted seven years ago. Stephanie thinks abandoning their earlier plan is best. Will Designer Hilary make enough renovations that both Stephanie and Steven will love their home again? Or will Realtor David show them a property that makes them decide to list their family home and move on?
Choosy Couple Makes a Decision
After having kids, Steven and Rita's once functional home is now lacking. Storage and shared bathrooms are a constant pain. Steven loves their home, and although there are some inconveniences, is willing to wait until their house fits them again. Rita wants to rid their lives of the aggravations caused by their home. Can Designer Hilary change enough of their house to show Rita what they once loved there? Or will Realtor David show Steven a different home too good to pass up?
Due Date Deadline
Homeowners Beth and Colin are expecting their first child and they need a nursery to be baby-ready. Their current home needs work in order to become the home they want to raise their family in. Designer Hilary tries to make their home perfect for their growing family, while realtor David tries to show them homes that will be ready before the baby arrives. In the end, they will have to decide if they want to love the renovations made to their home, or list it.
A Family Divided
When a family considers leaving their outdated family home, daughter Lori steps up to fund a renovation that might make them reconsider. Designer Hilary attempts to rework their old family home to make it more appealing to mother Kathy and the rest of the family, while realtor David works to find the perfect, move-in ready home to convince them to leave.
Living Lakeside
Designer Hilary arrives to attempt and revive the charm of their lakeside home with a major renovation. At the same time, realtor David tries to find them a home that is perfect for their family of four. In the end, they must decide if their home has been transformed to something they can love again, or if they will choose a home David finds for their family.
Mom Moved In
Mark and Alana bought a home knowing it needed some loving care. They have made progress, but it has not been enough. Now Mark's mom, Jeanette, has moved-in and the space is more crammed than ever. Designer Hilary has hopes she can take care of the couple's must-have list with a home renovation. Realtor David works to find a home that includes all the function and space they need. In the end, Mark, Alana and Jeanette must choose which house fits all their needs.
Home, Office or Gym?
Jason, Karen and their two kids have to schedule time in their own home. Jason's personal trainer business operates from their basement, and because of this, their house is no longer just their home. Clients are in and out, and the family must adjust to the work schedule. Designer Hilary has renovation plans to try to help this family have their own space again. In the meantime, realtor David shows them homes that can function for everyone. In the end, the family must decide what works best for them and Jason's business.
Perfect Home Repairs
James, Sharon and their four kids don't have any space to spare in their current home. They love their neighborhood, and they once loved their home, but now it doesn't function for their family. They can no longer overlook the major repairs their house needs. To help them figure out what to do with their home, designer Hilary has plans to fix these problems within their home, while realtor David finds houses where their family could expand. In the end, James and Sharon must choose whether they will leave the home their kids have grown up in, or if they will list it and start fresh in a new home.
A Place to Call Home
The Maharishi family has traveled all over the world, but now are looking for a house of their own. After restoring much of the exterior of their home, Rachel and Rahul hadn't touched the inside. Two years and an exhausted budget later, they are still trying to make their house the place they want to call home. Designer Hilary steps in to help with that plan, while realtor David wants to find a move-in ready house for the family. In the end, these world travelers will have to choose where they call home.
Duplex Dilemma
Ron and Heather bought a duplex with intentions to combine units and turn it into the home they had always wanted. Six years later, the renovations have yet to take place. Now with a newborn, they are at odds about staying in their duplex home. Designer Hilary aims to give them the home they always wanted with completed duplex renovations. Realtor David shows them options they have for a house their family can grow in. In the end, it will be up to Ron and Heather to choose if Hilary fixes the dilemma in the duplex or if they will side with David and find a home that meets their needs.
Artists' Abode
Artists Patrick and Kasia settled into an urban home they felt was perfect for them. After having to weather the winter in their uninsulated home, they know something has to be done. With a baby on the way, the decision must be made soon. Designer Hilary and realtor David are ready to step in to help with their home. Hilary and her team will rework the house to be safe, functional and baby-ready. Realtor David will search for a new home for the growing family. And in the end, Kasia and Patrick will choose the best home for their family.
A House with Only a View
Dan and Michelle bought a great piece of property, but were never sold on the house that came with it. Now, with a 14-month-old the limitations of the home are more apparent than ever. They need a change for their family. Designer Hilary and Realtor David step in to help the couple decide what to do. Hilary and her team will renovate the home to become the dream home Dan and Michelle have always wanted. While David will try to find them the perfect house to move into. And, in the end, Dan and Michelle must choose what to do with their home with a view: love it or list it.
