When Brian and Andrea bought this partially renovated home 3 years ago, it was everything they wanted- or at least what he wanted. He loved the idea of making the home their own by renovating whenever he had time, but with one renovation after another, the end is nowhere in sight. Andrea is convinced that they have outgrown this house and doesn't want to put another penny into it, but Brian feels it holds promise and with help it will function for them again. Desperate to prove each half of this divided couple is right are competitors Hilary and David. Hilary and her team will renovate the home in order to make room for another baby, while David will show the family they can find more space in a new place. In the end, Brian and Andrea will have to decide... will they love their home again or will they list it?
Dingy Downstairs Dungeon
After a year of looking and being outbid on eight different houses, Oliver and Melissa finally found a home. Although Melissa was out of town when Oliver decided to buy it, they moved in and thought it was the home for them. Little did they know they were very wrong. Melissa can't stand the problem after problem that this house presents, including a dangerous staircase, a smelly basement, and a tiny washroom. But what Melissa sees as problems with the house, Oliver sees as challenges yet to be solved. Enter competitors Hilary and David. Designer Hilary and her team will renovate the home in order to convince Melissa to stay, while realtor David will show Oliver they can find a better place to call home. Without any clear solutions, but plenty of suggestions, Melissa and Oliver will have to decide... will they love their home again or will they list it?
Talk of the Town
Sixteen years ago, Scott purchased this house with intentions of renting it out and making some money. Little did he know, one of his tenants would be his future wife and they'd be the talk of the town. Now after eleven years of marriage and two kids, this century old home and the issues that come with it are consuming Scott's precious free time. But after Catherine's challenges with her health, Scott now wants to move on to a home that will give her a better quality of life. Catherine on the other hand wants to stay in the home she found strength and peace in--her place. The never ending to-do list clashing with the desire to live each day to it's fullest has left this family divided over the future of their family home. Ready, willing, and able to assist with the decision, designer Hilary and realtor David meet up to handle the challenge. Country Home Conflicts
One year ago, Ron and Mishelle bought this five generation, century old home from his parents. Ron loves the legacy home, but Mishelle misses their bungalow in the city. Soon after she agreed to move in, the classic conflicts between city girl and country boy quickly became apparent. Creating a brighter future for the homeowners are designer Hilary and realtor David. Hilary and her team will redesign the country home with more convenient amenities for Mishelle, while David will show Ron that they can find more convenience in a new home. With a long legacy and country living threatening their future family happiness, Ron and Mishelle will have to decide... can they love their home again or will they list it?
Change of Heart
Ten years ago, Danielle and Aaron purchased an extreme fixer upper from her uncle after it had been run down by previous renters. She knew she had to have it and despite a long list of problems, she somehow convinced Aaron that they should become the home's owners. Ten years later, the to-do list hasn't gotten any smaller and the daily battle against the home's troubled past has caused a total flip-flop in the hearts of Danielle and Aaron. He wants to stay and she wants to go. Competitors Hilary and David step into the mix to size up the impending challenge. Hilary and her design team aim to renovate the home in order to convince Danielle to stay, while Realtor David plans on showing the couple new houses in order to convince Aaron to move. Desperate for a worry-free family home, Danielle and Aaron will have to decide... can they love their home again or will they list it?
Mother Daughter Mortgage
When Darlene bought her home two years ago, daughter Jade was away riding horses for a living. But following some monetary issues, now 21-year-old Jade decided to move home and help with her mother's mortgage. Darlene loves the home and wants to stay because she has moved more times than can be counted on her fingers. Jade on the other hand wants to move to a new home that is closer to downtown and her desired lifestyle. Entering the scene are competitors Hilary and David, each with a different plan to help the family out. Designer Hilary and her team will conduct renovations in order to convince Jade to stay. David will show them houses in attempts to get Darlene to move. In the end, they will have to decide... will they love their home or will they list it?
Room for a Family
When Sarena and Flare bought this 1100 square foot house in the city, they were eager to embrace the next chapter of their relationship. Despite the dream location, one year after their big move, Flare's feelings for this house have completely changed. She doesn't feel it's a home that will allow for creating a family, but Serena thinks they can make it work. Stepping into the mix are designer Hilary and realtor David, each with their own set of plans to make this family happy. Hilary and her design team will renovate the small home to convince Flare to stay. David will show the couple homes that suit their needs better in hopes that Sarena will agree to list. Desperate for a house that allows them to grow their family, create art, and entertain their friends, Sarena and Flare will have to decide... will they love their home again or will they list it?
Sport-Centric Lifestyle
After eleven years, Colin and Aline's busy family are over taking their 2200 square foot home. Initially, there were many things that Colin and Aline loved about the house they had chosen for their family, but now that their children have grown and become more active, Aline has begun to think it's time to find a larger home. According to her, there are just too many problems in their current home that need to be addressed--mainly the overload of stinky hockey gear that hangs out in the living room on a daily basis. Colin on the other hand, thinks there are easy solutions to their storage issues. With no end in site for their ongoing argument, realtor David and designer HIlary arrive warmed up and ready for their impending challenge. David will show the family homes with more functional space. Hilary and her team will renovate their current home to make it work better for the family. With very little storage and the kids's hockey hampering their quality of life, Colin and Aline will have to decide... can they love their home again or will they list it?
Bachelor Pad Blues
By the time Krista joined him in this 1800 square foot rural bungalow, Dave had his roots planted deeply. Dave wants to stay, but the home's history has Krista wanting to leave?not to mention the long list of problems that haven't been solved including freezing rooms, a tiny kitchen and an unfinished bedroom. Making their way to the fight are designer Hilary and realtor David, each determined to end this battle. David will show the couple homes that can make them happy, while Hilary and her team will make their current home into a place both Dave and Krista can love. Desperate for a rural house that feels like home to both of them, Krista and Dave will have to decide... can they love their home again or will they list it?

When Rachel and Calum moved into this 1800 square foot centrally located home, they had a very specific plan for their family: have one more baby to fill the third bedroom. But when this family found out they were going to have twins, their plan became a bit more complicated. But the addition of twins is only the latest complication for a house which is almost maxed for a family of three. From a crowded kitchen, to an unfinished basement, to a nonfunctional bathroom, the house just isn't quite making the cut. Dave and Wendy thought they lucked out when they purchased this 2300 square foot bungalow because of the state of the market. But several years and two daughters later, Wendy's feelings about the home have completely changed in large part due to a medical condition affecting her eldest daughter. Lacey was diagnosed with epilepsy as a toddler and though the family has managed to keep the condition under control, Wendy still feels anxious being far away from her daughter at night. Dave thinks they can rearrange to make things work in their own home but Wendy thinks there is an easier solution--a new home. Diving into the debate are competitors Hilary and David. Ever-Expanding Family Affair
When Stephanie and Peter first purchased their 2200 square foot suburban house, it was perfect for these first time homeowners. But now they have a child and Stephanie's father has moved in with them. On top of the four people living in the home, their house has been designated as the family gathering place for their large, mixed Italian and Greek families. Needless to say, they've quickly realized they are running into issues with space. Stephanie hates the tiny kitchen but Peter thinks there's a way to use the space more efficiently. The house that brought them happiness as a couple is now causing tension for this ever-expanding family. When Siobhan and Duncan bought this 1200 square foot suburban starter home eleven years ago, it was just what they needed. But one decade and two growing kids later, Siobhan and Duncan no longer see eye-to-eye on their tiny home. Duncan promised Siobhan renovations that never seem to get taken care of and after years of waiting for his miraculous fixes, this house is only getting less functional for the family of four. Siobhan's list of imperfections starts in the basement, carries up through the house, and ends in the main floor bathroom. And handyman Duncan's solutions haven't done anything to ease her pain.
