Six months pass after the assassination attempt on Ignatiev, Igor is destabilized, but finds the strength to start all over again. He returns to the department. His first business with Vika and Averyanov is the search for a virtual criminal who steals tanks in computer games. Suspicion falls on the man who filed a complaint about the theft, but it soon turns out that the thief has outstanding programming skills...

A new investigator Valery appears in the department - a fellow student and ex-lover of Vika. Valery and Sokolovsky go to the hospital, where they brought the owner of a private transport company. The case is not as simple as it seems at first glance. The methods of work of Major and Valery are very different. Pryanikov concludes that Igor's version is more convincing and gives him carte blanche.

Igor brings Vika a doll as a gift, on which one can learn how to swaddle and feed a baby. But all the jokes are stopped by an attack on a woman with a stroller in the park and the kidnapping of a child. The victim turns out to be a nanny. The baby's mother accuses her ex-husband of the crime: he always wanted to take his son out of the country. Sokolovsky browses social networks and learns that a surrogate mother gave birth to a child ...

A community has settled in an abandoned village, the inhabitants of which live by their own rules: they do not use gadgets and technology, they grow food and sew clothes themselves. Not far from the settlement, in the forest, the corpse of a woman who was a well-known psychologist in St. Petersburg was found. Igor comes to the conclusion that any inhabitant of this mysterious area can be a criminal.

A wounded girl, screaming for help, runs out of the car, followed by a taxi driver. The girl cannot be saved. All the evidence points to the driver: in his car, the investigation finds the purse of the murdered woman and the instrument of crime - a bloody knife. There is no doubt that it is time to close the case, however, the motivation of the alleged criminal seems very unconvincing to Zheka Averyanov. Together with Sokolovsky, he decides to take a closer look at the surroundings of the murdered woman.

In the center of the city in an amusement park, a body is found in a pond.  killed, Leonid Sergeev, turns out to be an ordinary plumber from the nearest suburb. Valery collects evidence of a connection between the deceased and the head of the city, who is engaged in money laundering. The case is transferred to a special department. However, Sokolovsky and Zheka ask Pryanikov for a go-ahead for their own investigation, for which they involve Averyanov's wealthy relatives.

Horse thieves sneak into the stables at night. Their path is blocked by an autistic girl who is stabbed, but miraculously survives. It is extremely difficult to get evidence from her. Valery intends to find out information at any cost, Vika asks him to stop. Despite the obviousness of the evidence, none of the investigators can even imagine how close the accomplice of the robbers is from them.

A man with a gas can enters the branch of the largest bank. He already knows that the bank is ruined and demands the return of his savings. By chance, Valery and Vika find themselves in the same place. During the police operation, Vika does not have time to leave the premises and becomes a hostage herself. Now for Valery and Sokolovsky, saving Vika is a matter of honor.

Vera Ignatieva, Arkady's wife, dies at a railway crossing in a taxi, her daughter was saved only by a lucky chance. At the construction site of an elite complex in the city center, the body of a man was found suspended from a crane. This is Alexey Avdeev, a lawyer engaged in consumer protection. The medical examiner determines that this is not suicide, as the development director is trying to prove. The investigation is hampered by too contradictory testimonies about the deceased of his wife and friends. Sokolovsky clings to one inconsistency in the testimonies of relatives.

19-year-old Parkourist Pavel is broadcasting online directly from the roof of a high-rise building: a moment later, his body flies down. The deceased is from an orphanage, recently married, but his wife suddenly disappeared. Averyanov's wife Nina unexpectedly leads Zheka to a version of who could benefit from the death of a young guy.

Several huge black packages are washed ashore. Suddenly, a barely alive woman of Asian appearance appears from one of them, a Chinese woman, as Sokolovsky finds out. She is unable to explain to the investigation what happened: they were brought in with their eyes closed and were not allowed to leave the premises. At stake are the lives of women and their children who have come to work illegally. Having appreciated Igor's non-standard approach in the investigation, despite their unspoken conflict, Valery decides to help his partner.

An expensive SUV with removed wheels was found in the parking lot of an elite residential complex. This is the 16th case of "undressing" cars. The owner of a parking company left the country, and just before leaving, his car burned down. Sokolovsky cannot prove that these are the intrigues of competitors, however, together with Zheka, he manages to figure out the gunner. It turns out that one of the cars in this parking lot is connected with Vanya, the young man of Vika's sister, Anya, and Anya's life depends on the outcome of this case.

On the eve of the opening of the exhibition of orders and medals of the Second World War in the Palace of Youth, robbers enter the exhibition hall and steal all the unique exhibits. The awards belonged to the elderly, who voluntarily provided them to participate in the exhibition. One of them, a blind elderly woman, Tamara Lvovna Amosova, whose granddaughter was cleaning the night before the robbery at the exhibition, is being questioned by Sokolovsky and Rodionova. However, Tamara Lvovna's story raises more questions than answers.

A fifth-grader leaves the gym class, no one has seen him since. Heartbroken parents blame the school administration for the missing child. The investigation finds out that the boy's father on the eve of his disappearance received an SMS demanding a ransom. Sokolovsky begins to develop a version of the abduction, but new tragic events at the school call into question its viability.

Sokolovsky is detained by the Security Service on suspicion of the murder of Stas Agapov: his plan of revenge against Fischer is in jeopardy. Even Gingerbread cannot influence the course of events. No one guesses that Valery is also participating in the operation, in which everyone can suffer, including Katya and Ignatiev. An unexpected call from Rodionova from the clinic clarifies many points, but endangers the life of Vika herself and her child.

Contrary to Ignatiev's prohibitions, Katya sneaks into Fisher's bank and falls into a trap. Sokolovsky manages to arrive at the operation site on time: he manages to find what he has been looking for for so long - compromising evidence on an old enemy. It seems that he is literally one step away from the answers to the questions that tormented him. Unexpectedly, Pryanikov, and then Ignatiev, tell what they have been hiding for years. All participants in the events have only a few minutes to make the right decision.
