In the first of those races, world record holder and potential 'Face of the Games', Leon Marchand, is likely to be the man to beat. In the breaststroke, Great Britain's Adam Peaty is looking to bounce back from injury and mental health issues to become just the second man, after the great Michael Phelps, to win three Olympic gold medals in the same swimming event. The women's 100m butterfly also takes place in the pool, which was won by Maggie MacNeil of Canada in Tokyo three years ago
